In January, Ryan Leeder and I signed an option for a feature screenplay we'd written called THE BOILING POINT. We're still waiting for the film to be shot, but it's great to have an option. Also in January, I directed VANISHING ACT, which I consider my best short film. It played at the East Lansing Film Festival in November, and it's been sent to lots more festivals. This summer saw the launch of the first Hank Danger radio play -- HANK DANGER AND THE ISLAND OF FIRE! And in the fall, I directed my first feature film -- BLACK PAPER. The film is currently in post production, and you can watch the teaser trailer here. To top it all off, December 13 marked the twentieth anniversary of the making of my very first short film. Back in September, I hosted a retrospective screening of some of my work to celebrate that milestone. So all in all, 2012 has been a great year for me. I hope it's be great for you too. Here's to 2013! HANK DANGER AND THE RIDDLE MOUNTAIN CURSE! will be screened at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the Grand Rapids Toy and Comic Expo! All film screenings are included in the cost of admission to the Expo. Hank Danger writer/producer/director Joshua Courtade will be in attendance. The first Chuck's Boy feature film -- BLACK PAPER -- begins production tomorrow! We'll be shooting for a total of eight days, and it's going to be crazy. Check back in a week or so for further updates, or keep an eye on the film's blog.
Chuck's Boy's first feature film BLACK PAPER is currently in the process of casting the principle roles. For further information, click here.
The film is also in fundraising mode. If you would like to contribute to the project, please check out our campaign on IndieGogo! Charly Bivona and Joshua Courtade in VANISHING ACT.
