Joshua Courtade Director, Writer, Producer, Actor, Director of Photography, Editor
Joshua Courtade has been making movies for more than 15 years. He has a BA in Creative Writing from Grand Valley State University (Allendale, Michigan), where he primarily studied drama. While at GVSU, three of his stage plays (Death's Door, Osama and George, and The Multiplex Bandits, or Practically Marx) were produced by a student theatre group called STAGE.
Courtade is also an alumnus of Compass Arts Film Academy where he currently co-teaches screenwriting and of Act One's Summer Screenwriting Program in Los Angeles, California.
Courtade makes several short films each year and is developing ideas for a feature to be filmed in the fall of 2008. He leads a video ministry team at Rockford Baptist Church in Rockford, Michigan, where he also teaches Sunday school.
Courtade's major cinematic influences include Woody Allen, Ingmar Bergman, Preston Sturges, Joel and Ethan Coen, and Buster Keaton.
